The 3rd Changxing International MTBRace, 2012 I, Organizer: Sports Federation of Zhejiang Province, People’s Government of Changxing County II, Operator: People’s Governmentof Erjieling Village, Changxing County, Tourism Bureau of Changxing County,Cultural and Sports Bureau of Chanxing, Department of Transportation o fChangxing County III, Technical support IV, Date and Location: Check in before 11 am on March 10th,2012 at Erjieling Village, Changxing County, Zhejiang Province V, Pre-race Check-in Location: YanyangGuosheng Farm VI, Racing Events and Course 1、Racing Events: Mountain bike team race and mountain bike individual race. 2、Racing Course and Schedule: Yanyang Guosheng Farm-Si’an ForestFarm-Da Mu Qiao-Qiaojiacun Forest Farm-Zusijie-Si’an Forest Farm-YanyangGuosheng Farm. The course is about 9km long. 3 loops for men and 1 loop for women. VII, Registration and Qualification: A, Health Requirement Applicants must be physically active on a long time basis. Applicants must have mountain bike race experience, having certain mountain bike skill. Racers must be under the age of 50. Professional cyclists or cyclists who retired within 2 years are not allowed in the race. B, Registration 1, Only team’s registration is accepted. Please see the enclosed application form. Only 25 teams are accepted. Each team could have 4 players at most. The number of all players will be 100. Number of expatriate and female players for each team will not be restricted. Teams with more expatriate players have more chance of being invited to the race. Each team could have 1 more person as the team manager. 2, Slick tires are not allowed in the race. 3, Racers are asked to prepare their own bicycles and protective equipments. Each team need to wear their respective uniforms. All riders need to wear safety helmets that are up to safety standard. Racers need to att achtheir race numbers in proper places according to the organizing committee’s requirement, or they will be disqualified. All racers must get their bicycles inspected by technician appointed by the organizing committee to go into the race. No pre-race bicycle maintenance is provided by the organizing committee. C, Application Deadline By February 20th,2012, no more than 100 participants in total. Revision of application form is not accepted after application is approved. D, How to apply? 1, Download the application form online. 2, Applicants are required to fill in the form with true and proper information. Expatriate applicants must provide their passport copies. 3, Submit the application form to Mr. Yao of Hanghzou Sports Bureau before the deadline. All racers must sign and submit the Disclaimer. Race-related articles are provided at the check-in one day before the race. VIII, RACE REGULATIONS A, RULES 1,The race is subject to China Cycling Association’s most updated rules and related rules of this document. 2,When a violation of the rule occurs during the race, the commissaire panel could panelize the related racers according to latest rules. 3, To ensure that the race is held safely, the Chief Commissaire has the power to shorten the race course or cancel the race. Ignorance of the rule could not be used as an excuse. B, Starting 30 minutes prior to the race, allracers must wear their helmets, attach their race number to their jerseys and bicycles, sign at the staging area near the start line, and receive the inspection according to the rule, or they will be disqualified. The call-up stops 10 minutes prior to the race. 5 minutes prior tothe race, riders gather at the start line and get ready to start. C, RANKING RULES 1, Individual Ranking Individual ranking is determined by the finish time of each rider.(Expatriate riders may have a different ranking according to the number of expatriate racers). 2, Team Ranking Team ranking is determined by the time of best 3 riders in each team. 3, Lagging Riders For the account of traffic control and the health of participants, the Chief Commissaire has the power to ask riders who are 10% behind the leading riders or riders who are in an obvious unfavorable position to drop out the race. E, All the ranking of the race will be posted online at www.51bike.com X, ENTRY FEE Entry fee is 100 Yuan, personal injury insurance fee not included. Food and lodging are provided by the organizing committee. XI, The organizing committee will send invitations to qualified teams and individuals after their submission of application forms. Those who fail to receive invitations are unqualified members or late applicants. XII, Any other issues unmentioned will be explained at the meeting one day before the race.
