terrible thing is happening in shaoxing too

last sunday, when jamie and i biked past the city square, we noticed in one of the roads(renmin road?) , there were some people standing at the bike lanes, waving flags, pushing the bikes to footpath!:mad:

it happend in big cities like hangzhou before.  now in a lot of main roads in hangzhou, electric bikes, bikes, and pedestrians(maybe even blind people) have to share the narrow footpath!

jamie told me months ago that it would happen in shaoxing. he was right. but i didn't expect it to happen so soon!

I didn't anticipate it happening quite so soon, either.

The best way to cater for cars in the built-up city area is to NOT cater for them. If the cars can't move around the inner city area then they will stay in the outer city area. The people owning the cars will rent/buy their offices and homes out in those outer city areas, too.

Shaoxing should promote the use of clean and environmentally friendly bike in the inner city area. It will make the city MUCH more attractive.
