want to ride a century in Beijing Oct.?, also, my friend needs a bike to rent

A friend of mine and I are meeting in Beijing for the Agricultural Exposition this month (October).  We would like to ride a ride a century (100 miles or 160 kilometers) together.  However, he needs a bike to rent.  He can't bring his with him to Beijing.  I have a Ritchey BreakAway, so I can travel with mine no problem.  I live in Tianjin and he's out in western China.

Does anyone have a decent bike to rent or know of any shops/places in Beijing that I should ask around for a rental?  

Also, does anyone want to ride with us?  Here is an open invitation.  My friend is bilingual (English/Chinese).  I'm learning Chinese.  We will be riding with maybe a couple stops, but mainly just pressing through the 160km.

Yes, I'm the one looking for riders in Tianjin.  I only last week checked back here to see that you gave me the tianjin bike web site.  Since I just started learning Chinese, I'm having my tutor tomorrow help me read/find useful information off that site, and hopefully find some riding partners.

Thanks for posting the information on other sites for me, and for translating it!  Yes, we/I plan to ride the 160 all in one shot, with maybe two/three 5-10 min. stops.  

Do you know of any good highways to ride 160 mile on near Beijing?  Last time I stayed in the Sino Swiss Hotel out "near" the Beijing airport, and rode on some highways out there.  I came across two cycling groups.  The highways are big, nice, and new.  However, I want to plan out the 160km route rather than simply try to discouver 160km of good road.

i don't know beijing well, so i couldn't give you any suggestions.  but here is the good news: one guy from beijing replied the message i posted at another bike forum. he said he would like to ride with you for the century as long as it's on the weekend. so please  tell me your itinerary in beijing.

he also said that there is a time trial on 15th, october in beijing.

here is the post that he replied. you can ask your tutor to contact him by qq. maybe this guy can help your friend rent a bike. he is in a folding bike group in beijing:)

Get a map of beijing and choose a national highway to ride.
For an example, ride along the G110, then have a rest at the Great Wall. Of course it is a good idea to have a tour of the Great Wall. After that you can ride back.
ps: It is my suggestion and I am not familiar with beijing.
